My First Encounter with Android

Android - was the new mantra of any mobile phone user..which ever mobile shop you enter, to whomsoever you discuss on mobile phones, whether people knew it or used it or not, every one was praising Android..thats the buzz this word created among people..after GOOGLE the synonym of SEARCH for entire human race the next mobile thing is ANDROID..

INTRODUCTION

Gone are the days when people discuss on brand names like nokias,sony,samsung..now the scenario is on the mobile operating system..even the most common educated mobile phone user knows about this..whether he/she purchases & uses such a phone is a different issue..

Last 25days to be precise, is my first encounter with this buzzing mobile OS ANDROID..Even though i was following this for quite some time now, i didnt have the courage to switch to it..may be fear of unknown..i was restricting myself..

However on my birthday last month,this android entered my life..i am feeling this is one of the most remembered birthday because of many reasons..Android is one of them..

Even though my best friend had been behind Android for so many months, i didnt find it exciting, till the day i actually used it..After that, no looking back..Its such a wonderful package which puts oneself into a different pedestral of communication,connectivity,productivity, entertainment,memory,photos,videos..

INTERFACE

The interface is mostly touch based in all android phones..yes android is designed for a touch based phone/tablets only..The hardware requirements are of high standards..however once the minimum hardware requirements are satisfied, the performance is phenomenal..Be the accuracy of touch, the speed of flow of screen,the transition effects,the menus, the shortcuts everything is up-to finesse & it is a treat to operate the OS..

CONNECTIVITY

Now having experienced Android,i feel it encompasses all data in the mobile with the web..feature something similar to the cloud feature in Apple OS4..However google has implemented it so advanced i would say, most data of your phone gets saved in google servers automatically. For a normal user,this could turn out to be a disadvantage too..However all the checks are in place with proper intimation to the user & also security of the data..

Another feature is the integration of facebook & twitter into phone features..you are always on-line in all ways..FB,Twitter, IM applications,Email,SMS,video call,Phone on every possibility of communication medium available today..

APPS

Next is the applications because of which the phone is now a Smartphone..There is a very big android market,where you find lot of good,useful,exciting & fun applications..These ensure you make use of the full potential of the phone hardware..

Apps are simple programs developed by third party program writers & with google's approval get into the android market..these apps for mobiles are similar to software for computers..with these apps, the mobile phone turns out to be a e-book, barcode scanner, tutor, email program etc etc..anything for that sake..

GAMES

Even though i am not a vivid gamer, the game options available are superb..with best hardware the gaming experience is that of similar hand-held gaming devices..Many are available for free in the android market & best ones are paid ones..i feel they are worth the money spent to purchase them if you are a gamer..also you can play with your friends,share the scores etc..

I am very much impressed with the OS like many others in the mobile world because of which this is becoming very popular among us..with the open software approach it is likely to grow in volumes in the coming days..

Hats off to Google for their constant innovation & making software that is integrating our daily life..
