the big brother of n95 launched in septembet 2007 with 8 gb of memory which was very high during that date. having used this phone personally for the last one year, its been a great experience.

the phone has best of the features. a 5 mp camera, a big screen, 8 gb memory, 3G, GPRS, good music player,nokia maps & GPS. over all covered all multimedia functions and advanced voice & data functions.

the basic phone functions such as voice clarity, messaging, phone book features are all good and user friendly.

the processor and ram was upgraded.hence the speed of phone has improved a lot compared to the predessor.

the camera is good and gives good results. The maps feature is good but needs to be upgraded after 3 months. However in current scenario,with google latitude , nokia maps looks outdated and slow in performance.

Coming to practical feedback on the phone performance, the first point is the Battery life. the phone has a pretty decent battery. good talk time compared to the phones with similar features.

on a practical note you can have a 3-4 hours talk time in a day, use gprs for webaccess and email and also listen to radio with a complete charge. I feel this is more than a need in a day. However when you travel across cities, the battery gets discharged at a much faster rate.

This might be because of the search of networks. you can probably keep the phone in off line mode during travel in trains/ buses between cities. this enhances the standby time of the phone.

coming to the music features, its performance is ok. the music player is just normal. However the handset is great. it is multifuctional and is of great use.

the nokias web browser is ok. However if you can download opera browser,it gives better speed and functionality in terms of bookmarks. the bookmark feature is very useful while you browse in your phone.also you can sync it with your computers opera.

this phone also has office reader so that you can download and view microdoft office files. The edit feature is not available, however the same can be obtained through an upgrade.

the new nokia messaging tool, which enables you to receive emails just like a blackberry os of very good use. Hence from now on all N-series phones can be used similar to a blackberry device. This is a very good feature for all young managers, who want fun, entertainment and still stay in touch with the official mails.

you can also install applications like yahoo go, gmail,sports tracker. with nokias ovi coming up with many new applications, it can open a gateway to an array of new user friendly applications.

only wish if the phone had a touch screen.
